YMCA Childcare and Summer Camps

Hayes-Taylor YMCA Kiddie Kollege Pre-School Program

Hayes-Taylor Memorial YMCA welcomes the opportunity to be "Partners with Parents" in the nurturing and development of each child.

Our Philosophy of "children learn through play" is supported by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).  We strengthen this philosophy each day.

  • Hayes-Taylor Kiddie Kollege is now enrolling 3 & 4 yr olds for the Fall 2010 -2011 program year!
  • The Hayes-Taylor Site will host a "Kiddie Kollege Open House on August 15, 2010, 1pm - 3pm.

Ages: 3 to 5 year-olds (must be potty-trained)

Hours of Operation:

Monday - Friday    6:30AM - 6:00 PM (Year Round)

Fees:

Registration Fee:   $50 (One-Time Registration Fee)

Weekly Fees:         $120 for YMCA Members and Non-Members

Washington Montessori Kiddie Kollege is an after-school program for 4 year olds who attend Washington Montessori School. It is an on-site program that operates immediately after school until 6pm, Monday through Fridays. The program is open on designated teacher workdays. To register they should contact Washington Montessori School, 1110 E. Washington St., Greensboro, NC (336) 370-8290.

Fees: $41.00 per week YMCA Members  $46.00 per week Non-Members

  • Washington Montessori Kiddie Kollege is now enrolling 4 yr. olds for the Fall 2010-2011 program year!
  • Washing Montessori Kiddie Kollege will host their Kiddie Kollege Open House on August 3rd, 5:30pm.

 

 

Hayes-Taylor YMCA After School Program

The Hayes-Taylor YMCA after school program is for children ages 5 to 13.   (5 year olds must be already enrolled in kindergarten.)

Our program engage children in a variety of activities to help them learn and have fun after the school bell has rung.  Activities include:

  • Group games plus Arts and Crafts                                                   
  • Homework Assistance
  • Character Development
  • Supervised Swimming and Kid Aerobics
  • Special Interest Groups Such As Chess
  • Family Nights and More!

Grades: K-8th

Hours of Operation:    Monday - Friday     2:30PM - 6:00PM

Registration Fee: $25 (Non-Refundable)

YMCA Member Weekly Fees $50 First Child

                                                       $45 For Each Additional Child

 

Non- Member Weekly Fees:    $55 First Child     

                                                       $50 For Each Additional Child

Kidz Taylored Summer - Summer Camp Program

The Hayes-Taylor YMCA offers Kidz Taylored Summer, an all day weekly licensed summer camp with weekly themes for children ages 5-14. (5 year olds must have completed kindergarten) Daily activities include arts and crafts, camping, digital animation, cooking, sports, engineering, dance and step, drama, swimming, photography. Weekly field trips and special events are a perfect conclusion to our fun packed weeks!

Ages:  5-14 years old

Fees & Registration
$25.00 application fee + 1st week fee


Weekly Fees

$100.00/week Members
$105.00/week Non Members

Hours of Operation:  Monday - Friday         7:30AM-6:00 PM

Please Note: Children must arrive at camp no later than 9:00 AM

Black and Latino Achievers

Black and Latino Achievers is a nationally recognized teen mentoring program for 8th-12th graders. The focus is to educate and expose youth to various career fields as well as promote and encourage teens to further their education to post secondary institutions. Youth participate in workshops on:

  • college readiness
  • career exploration & workforce development
  • early youth leadership
  • financial literacy



Program highlights include:

  • College tours
  • World of work tours
  • The Young World Radio Show
  • Awards Banquet & Gala

 

The group meets on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 10:00am – 1:00pm. There is a $10.00 application fee & $35.00 program fee.

Early Registration July1-31
Take advantage of early registration and pay only the $35.00 program fee. During the month of July the $10.00 application fee will be waived. Don’t wait!, Register Early!, Ensure your spot!, Save money!

Regular registration opens August 1, 2010. You can register online or at any of the following branches:

Achievers engaged in team building exercise on the campus of UNCG, hosted by UNCG's Office of Leadership and Service Learning.

                2010 College Tour

       

In March, Achievers from Hickory, NC joined the Greensboro chapter to visit Mid-Atlantic HBCU's. The goal of the visits was to have the Achievers observe campus life, ask questions, and think positively about college. 29 Achievers and their Chaperons visited Morgan State University, Coppin State University, Virginia Union University, Virginia State University and Hampton University.
